The holidays are in full swing by now and you’ve likely been dashing all over to keep up. The children’s concerts, the family parties, the work dinners – they just keep coming. Every organization or group you’re a part of seems to celebrate Christmas in its own unique way. But common to nearly every festivity is one thing – the holiday food.
Imagine if there was a way to avoid running to the grocery store yet again because you forgot the pumpkin puree for your pie or the candy canes for your child’s class party. Imagine if all the food and ingredients you needed arrived on your doorstep in plenty of time. That dream can become a reality with just a little bit of planning.
Plan holiday food today, thank yourself tomorrow
When the days of parties and time off from work arrive, you don’t want to be bothered with figuring out the food – you want to relax with family and friends. These simple steps will allow you to do just that:
- Plan your gatherings. Make a list of all the parties you’re hosting and attending for the rest of this year.
- Plan the food. Next to each one, write down the food for which you are responsible, whether it’s at your house or someone else’s.
- Plan the in-between times. Now fill in the gaps – what staple food items do you need to have in the pantry and fridge to keep everyone in your house fed and happy during downtimes?
- Place your order. Order everything you need to be delivered to your home from the local farm you trust, Country Dairy. Country Dairy’s home delivery service has over 70 products available and ready to arrive on your doorstep in time to round out your Christmas table.
- Relax. Enjoy the holidays knowing your local, delicious food is on its way!
Country Dairy has what you need for holiday food
If you need some ideas for holiday food to serve this year, check out Country Dairy’s online ordering service. Meat lovers can order filet mignon, New York strip steaks, briskets and roasts. Charcuterie board enthusiasts can add some local flare to their display with a variety of flavored cheese blocks, from Garlic Onion Jack to Horseradish.
Be sure to pick up a gallon of chocolate milk for the kids’ table, and don’t forget the egg nog, either! If you expect overnight guests, select some breakfast treats from Country Dairy’s bakery such as “Cinnamoo” rolls and blueberry muffins so you don’t have to cook every morning. Add in the delicious bacon or breakfast sausage so your guests get some protein to ward off that late morning crankiness.
Don’t forget eggs and butter for all of that holiday baking! And if one of your guests has a gluten intolerance, order some gluten free brownies so no one feels left out.
How it works
You can order food right from your phone on Country Dairy’s home delivery page. All you have to do is browse the food items, each of which comes with a photo for your convenience. Fill your cart and hit submit to order.
Make sure you place your order at least two days before the delivery date. Orders are accepted up to one week before delivery and end on Wednesdays at 8:00 PM. There is a $10.00 delivery fee, but if you spend over $80.00, that fee is waived.
Then, every other Friday, Country Dairy delivers farm fresh orders to families like yours. All you have to do is leave a cooler outside, and they do the rest. They even deliver the food themselves; there is no third party delivery service to bungle the process.
If you live outside the Shelby to Muskegon bi-weekly delivery zone, you can still get a group of friends or neighbors together and coordinate your own delivery drop. The group must order at least $750 of food and live within an 80 mile radius of Country Dairy. Reach out to Jeff for more details at 231-861-4636 x150 or jeff@countrydairy.com.
Place your order soon
Take time this week to plan out your holiday gatherings and place your delivery order. When your family and guests are well fed and still get to enjoy the pleasure of your company, it will all feel worth the time you took to plan ahead. You’ll be able to sit back, sip your egg nog, and enjoy the Christmas cheer you helped create!
